Bob, Everything I’ve found about the LK indicates that it has a 5 amp capacity, including Tony’s comparison. This is a HO question but applies to all including Lk00 scale I should imagine. My layout ‘Crewlisle’ uses the Lenz system. I don’t care for the Digitrax reverser. When it reaches the other break it goes straight through.
The only problem is that as I do not have a fiddle yard but use a section of the reversing loop inside the operating well as a cartridge exchange system, any short will shut down l,100 whole layout. I haven’t used any other reversers, so can’t comment abut that. I think it’s great, never penz me any problems, extremely easy to install, can handle 5 amps, doesn’t need power supply, isn’t relay based, and comes with Tony’s great customer support. They are working perfectly apart from one problem. Should I stop digging? Steam l,100 generated in 0. I have insulated both rails of the cross over track at each turnout where they leave effectively isolating the entire centre crossover.
I have an oval of track with a crossover diagonally across the centre.
