Sad, given that the author’s Like Water for Chocolate is a book I love and a book she makes frequent references to in this book. I’m reading a translation, so that could be the problem, but I can’t seem to agree with anything the author is saying.

Some of the articles are quite interesting, but after a couple of chapters the material seems rather repetitive.
