Oddly, one of the key locations in the story is 16 Phillimore Place on the roof of which Heaven is attackedwhich apparently used to be the home of Wind in the Willows author Kenneth Grahame.

For some reason I expected this to be an old-fashioned story so I was surprised to find that it was actually very modern. Really, it’s worth a flick for plot alone, but the characters were fairly 2D and the writing is a bit eye-roll-y at parts.

A whole new way of how fairies come into being and it’s so hopelessly romantic, I feel like I am flying. Review quote An original fantasy story with echoes of Edgar Allen Poe I would not give this book to younger children, mostly because Heaven and David are rather grown up people with mature problems especially as David’s history is told right at the ebginning of the chrkstophbut teenagers and older will surely like it, and it’s nice to see a couple with real problems in young-adult literature for once.
