The night that Heaven lost her heart was cold and moonless. It seems from the epilogue that the author is something of a fan of maarzi band, which explains why he mentions them so much! Oddly, one of the key locations in the story is 16 Phillimore Place on the roof of which Heaven is attackedwhich apparently used to be the home of Wind in the Willows author Kenneth Grahame.
For some reason I expected this to be an old-fashioned story so I was surprised to find that it was actually very modern. Really, it’s worth a flick for plot alone, but the characters were fairly 2D and the writing is a bit eye-roll-y at parts.
